General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data of users of our website only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services. Personal data is generally processed only with the user’s consent or where processing is permitted by statutory provisions.

Collection and Storage of General Access Data (Server Log Files)

When accessing our website, information is automatically collected and stored by the hosting provider in so-called server log files. This information includes in particular:

The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing your inquiry).

Customer Portal / User Account

As part of our customer portal, users may create a user account and log in. In this context, we process the personal data required for the setup, provision, and administration of the user account, in particular name, email address, login credentials, verification data, technical log data, and, where applicable, additional information stored in the account.

For registration, authentication, and user account management, we use the service provider Clerk. The processing is carried out for the purpose of providing a secure login and user management system and for taking pre-contractual steps and performing or administering the user relationship with our customers. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where necessary, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient administration of user accounts and IT security.

Where personal data is transferred to third countries, in particular outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, in connection with the use of Clerk, such transfer takes place only in compliance with the requirements of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

We store data processed in connection with the user account for as long as the account exists and thereafter only insofar as statutory retention obligations apply or the data is required for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

Google Analytics

Where you give your consent via our consent management tool, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to analyse the use of our website. Processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw or adjust your consent at any time with future effect via our consent management tool.

Contractual and Business Data

In the context of contractual relationships, we process personal data of our customers, interested parties, and business partners insofar as this is necessary for the initiation, execution, and handling of contractual relationships.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR as well as to fulfill legal obligations pursuant to Article 6(1)© GDPR.

Storage Period

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to achieve the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. After the purpose no longer applies or statutory retention periods expire, the data is routinely deleted.

Disclosure of Data

Personal data is disclosed to third parties only if:

you have given your explicit consent,
disclosure is necessary for the performance of a contract,
there is a legal obligation to do so,
or there is a legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
